Things are progressing even further, lately I've been working on drawing locations that will work as the overworld (Oversea?) location markers for each sidescroller level meaning that you'll be able to sail up to the spot, have the name of the place come up above it and then when you press (A) you get asked something like "Shall we drop anchor here? [YES] [NO]" I do have an ocean animation by my very talented artist friend, so we'll see how it looks to have these locations put in using tileswapping in certain locations, it might look weird having areas with no ocean waves since it'll be 16x16 or possibly 8x8 pixel squares of flat water with the location placed on top, but thats for future me to worry about!
